Marconi International University, based on the ACICS Show-cause Directive letter received on September 13, 2018 has established the Doctoral Program Termination plan policies and procedures that are consistent with the ACICS accreditation standards Section 2-2-303 and with the Florida Department of Education CIE regulation regarding Academic Program Termination.
The Advisory Board of the University, approves the following Doctoral program termination plan that includes the process and policies to be followed and the activities to be carried out, according to ACICS and CIE standards and requirements.
All current students, defined as those who have taken courses in the previous two academic years without graduating or being dismissed, will receive an email form the institution with the notification of the programs termination. They will also be notified of the timeline and options available to them by email and by phone call by the student services and the admissions department. The students will be asked to respond by 30 days.
The regular timeline for completion of a teach-out is two years counting from the initial date of enrollment of each student in order to maintain normal academic progress.
The timeline of the teach-out will be expressed through its effective terms; the starting point will be the final term in which students are admitted and the end point will be the last term of offering.
In the event that a student is unsuccessful in an attempt to complete the program within this timeframe, the administration and faculty of the program will nevertheless continue to make reasonable efforts to help the student graduate. In the event a student fails to make satisfactory progress, the University will be dismissed from the University and denied from further enrollment.
