All MIU students have the opportunity to take part in the Marconi Internship Program, which provides internships offered by leading companies in Europe and USA. This is a precious opportunity to develop professional experience within disciplines related to the chosen academic course, but also an opportunity to travel and get in touch with international cultures, all while enhancing the CV/resume. Living and working internationally gives students the life experience necessary to make it in the ‘real’ world.
Interested students will be required to communicate at the time of enrollment their intention to join the MIU Internship Program to participate in the selection process that will be carried out directly by the partner companies, based on criteria such as language competence, professional profile and academic results of the candidates.
INTERNSHIP ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The application for the Marconi Internship Program must be sent to the MIU Placement Office and must be accompanied by the following documentation:
- Curriculum Vitae
- Certification attesting the level of English obtained (in the absence of an official certification attesting the English level it will be possible to hold a written and oral test at Marconi International University)
- Other academic and professional certifications
- Reference Letters (Optional)
After submitting the documentation, the candidates will be contacted by the MIU Placement Office for a first interview aimed at orienting the candidate to the various internship opportunities at partner companies.
Appropriate candidates will be notified to the partner companies that will evaluate the features according to the currently open staging positions.
The company will require a direct interview with the candidates that will be conducted in English through videoconferencing. The interview will aim to verify the candidate’s attitudes in relation to the profile and role required.
The company will have full discretion in the selection of the candidates.
Candidates that will be considered eligible by the companies will receive written communication from the company and regarding the start date, duration and possible salary for the internship and will have to send confirmation of acceptance to the Placement Office by a maximum of 3 days after receipt of such notice.
International students who wish to attend the Internship in the United States must obtain the J1 Visa.
